Join a guided mountain bike ride from the cable car in Tromsø! The trip is suitable for anyone who wants a fun and challenging activity in Tromso. The tour starts at Sjøgata 14 and we ride through downtown Tromsø and over the Tromsøysund Bridge to the cable car. We take the cable car up to Storsteinen, where we enjoy the view for a while, before we start to ride up the mountain, down the valley and back to downtown Tromsø.
We ride partly on paved/gravel roads and partly on a mountain/forest trail. We follow the trail from Storsteinen at the upper cable car station (slett ordene her) down into the innermost part of Tromsdalen valley below the mighty peak Tromsdalstind. There is some cycling up and over at first, but mostly downhill. Some of the decline is quite steep and we cross some creeks.
Average / slightly above average cycling skills are required.
The weather can change quickly in Northern Norway. We therefore recommend that you bring waterproof jacket / trousers on all our trips.
